    China's JD.Com

Many are lauding JD.Com's recent decision to hold it's current MG stake as a positive sign. It is, but...

Let's put JD.Com's quoted stats of a China sales blitz of 30 tonnes into perspective...

30 tonnes = 30,000 litres, which is so small in China terms!

According to MG website, MG processed 3.6 billion litres of Milk

It's good that JD.Com are not selling its stake in MG. But let's keep their relative current importance in perspective...

The true facts are - to create milk powder, it uses a lot more than just 1 ton = 1000 litres. Infact, for one kg of milk powder, it uses around 10 litres of milk.

Anyhow - lets get onto the real story. Murray goulburn produces 1,057,000 tons of produces per year (cheese, milk powder, milk, etc etc). they sold 30,000 to one market(china), in ONE day. that's 3% of their total yearly production. ... no doubt at good margin.

USC75 will bash whatever he can without the true facts and that's just the kind of person he is. Focus on the facts and you will succeed.
ALSO - another AFR article today - "China's biggest retailer bets on Australian products" ..... with this sentence that I like in particular -
"That should ensure it continues to buy many more tonnes of Murray Goulburn's products amid a move towards higher quality and more expensive foreign brands in China."
