I think you miss the point completely... most people would much prefer having to carry a little side saddle with a few wires than be suffering in a wheelchair unable to walk short distances before becoming short of breath..

LVAD is not a cure - its all about improving the quality of life - it has never been touted as a cure..

I think you should spend some time in a hospital talking to people in severe heart failure... You may change your way of thinking.... I work in cardiology, and see first hand people who could benefit from this kind of technology - VCR is life enhancing...
