    The thing is that the great unwashed now have an opinion on immigration. 20 -30 years ago most would only grumble among their mates. Now it's effecting the average joe. They are at the coal face.
    An old fisherman/ deckhand I met as a teenager who disappeared 30 years ago has moved back to my town.
    The last ten years his suburb in Perth has gone from his little slice of paradise to being an alien who cannot speak the right language at the deli.
    Good news for the right small towns 2 hrs or less around near the cities.
    We have to get use to our new Australian mates we know but not an open door bleeding heart approach like our greener friends.
    If we are an economic basket case we won't be in s position to help anyone including ourselves.
    Trashing our lifestyle might make some feel good but that will wear off. When it's too late.
    In the end we will have to stop supporting out indigenous Australians living on their country as we won't have the money.
    I'm happy we can support them in their quest to maintain a traditional lifestyle and happy to see we can help those joining the mainstream.
    A flood caused damage same amount of rain over a time brings bumper crops.
    Let's leave the knee jerk reaction some want and take a prudent approach?
