You just reminded me of the State Bank of Victoria when we paid the CBA $1 billion to take it off our hands.
Most of the other banks that you mentioned were a bit stretched when the GFC hit and would have needed a government bail out.
All the talk and bank bashing is a bit of a laugh if it was so easy why hasn't a bank come along and undercut the rest and got all the business,people bitch about banks and then go and put more on their credit cards without a thought and then bitch about the interest rates,people with half a brain don't pay credit card interest and many like me make money using their credit card,it easy.
