re: australian stock report+gfd, twr, bpc Hi Arthur, sorry for the delay in replying to you. I have only looked at them once and I did not find them very interesting , in fact I think they also had a sell on BPC at a low price and BPC has risen . I did not particularly fancy much about what they said. Mind you I also do not pay much attention to Tipsters including Newspaper , and stockbroker tipsters for that matter as I have found over many years that many times there is a Tap where there is a tip. I prefer to conduct my own research and I do not need Tipsters as I am flat out looking into the shares which my computer brings to my attention. I have been long in TWR recently for example, a very interesting share and a share with an opportunity to join the big investors GSP, who are excellent managers also,at the same deeply discounted rights issue price for example . Not many opportunities like that. I like GFD because it is also a recovery share and has a Chairman who is brilliant and was the driving force behind 'Snack Foods ' which he managed brilliantly and which was taken over at a big price. I like BPC and BPCO because of it's potential to increase it's earnings per share, improve it's balance sheet and be invested at a Very low PE Ratio and PEG ratio as well. I like shares which are cheap and I do not like and avoid shares which are dear , high PE Ratio shares are a waste of time for me as they are full of risk and have the risk of Crashing , CSL AMP BIL even Patricks and others have had and could well have further large baths . If one invests like Warren Buffett or Sir Ron Brierley of GSP then one does not buy into overvalued shares and one buys into what tend to be undervalued shares with the opportunity for them to recover and be re rated upwards by the market.I therefore do not need tipsters.
