re: what a sad day far be it for me to rub salt into anyones wounds when it comes to investing in the sharemarket but one thing i have learned is that when sentiment turns against you the ONLY thing that can hold a shareprice up is its profitability, and associated fundamentals.

vcr (although you could argue is closer to commercialising its product than ever before) still has a market cap of over $200 million and would have to be at least 2 years away from posting a maiden profit. from the little i know of the stock/industry it also has competition in the way of htw, and further down the track stem cell technology. although vcr are likely to get to market sometime before htw and msb for instance, they may have these competitors breathing down their necks soon after.

plenty of value in the tried and true profitable companies imho. lots of stocks are paying good dividends, have proven themselves over years of profitability, and have p/e's around the 12 mark. plenty of people could say vcr is very expensive with a market cap of 200 mill.
