Has Irwin changed the cultural dynamics of Australia and why? Was he the quintessential Aussie?

Was he the latter Paul Hogan?

    IMO, no.

He was a battler, loved people, his only wife, his children, native animals, carried the Australian o/seas psyche, swam with his Yakkas on, went to Hollywood and was business like and made a killing while dieing doing what he loved at a young age - he loved a BBQ and a beer - he was one of our own.

Hutchence killed himself on drugs while Packer is now almost forgotten due to his many idiosyncrasies outside of commerce. Heart fibrilliators and a gambling addiction?

Let us forget about Science and the Arts - they have no remberance usually.

Brocky had 3 marriages and is to be given a state funeral but also he died what he loved doing. What overshadowed him was a less than "perfect" life.

The new Princess Di of Aussie? - when did you first find out he died and which Australian do you remember that died that had a profound effect on you?

Are our brain cells only capable of a short-term memory?

I actually struggled a little to remember.

Don't look them up - you are only fooling yourself.

Who is on Denton tonight - maybe he will fall off the perch too. LOL
