the difference is 'the japanese companies are not part of the governmentt'. they are outside investors and are treated as such under the Chinese ...and believe me when I say 'outside' that's how the Chinese view the Japanese. A little history may be in order here. If you have the money to invest in China, and you are Chinese, you are looking for ways to make the money in China....and get it out of the country. therefore if you are involved in the Galaxy-Jiangsu-Tianqi group...a lawsuit is nothing more than a shift of money from one entity to another in another place. if you need further explanation I can try Last time I was in Shanghai it looked to me like Jiangsu was where most of the lithium processors were located and the Japanese have 'no' serious holdings in any of them.
