My kids are 16 and 13. Both vaccinated. Both never had antibiotics. Can't remember the last time I did probably in my teens 30 years ago. I have worked in hospitals since 1989 so plenty of germs around me.
You're right some gp's over prescribe as some of the public demand them. I believe usage is far more targeted now than in the past both in hospitals and in the community.
