This was not the only time that Watchtower got it wrong, but no matter, they were reported to have become rather wealthy as they encouraged many to sell their belongings and hand over the proceeds to the organisation (Watchtower).

And yet people still cling to this organisation - there must be a lesson there somewhere for those looking for strategies without substance to retain brand loyalty.
