In oil, traders were looking ahead to the next OPEC meeting on Thursday, where any deal to freeze or cut crude production is seen as unlikely. Meanwhile, Canada’s largest crude oil producer Suncor Energy said output is set to resume this week following recent wildfires in Alberta. US Nymex crude added 0.5 per cent to $US49.60 a barrel, while global benchmarkBrent crude put on 0.9 per cent to $US49.76.
