Have you seen that in Singapore they are planning to have autonomous taxi's on the road by 2019. With about 30,000 taxi's on the road I am sure there is going to be a bit of uproar when they come online, though I am thinking 2019 is quite ambitious.
Most of the people I spoke with last week are really looking forward to seeing more Tesla's on the road. I noticed that more and more Taxi's are now Toyota Prius.
I think Singapore will have a huge uptake of electric cars with the $45,000 rebate on the low emissions vehicles.
For those that don't know, in Singapore a new car's price generally works out to be around 5 times the cost of a car in Australia. I have been trying to work out what the rebate of $45,000 would do for the on road cost of a Tesla Model 3 in Singapore.
"The US pricing for the Model 3 will start from US$35,000 (S$47,213). It is not yet known what the final cost would be for the Singapore market after taking into account Certificate of Entitlement prices and other charges or rebates."
