Many of the elements that go into the type of micro grid they are planning to build, are containerised, i.e. desalination plant, control system and battery storage.
This would mean that remote island and edge of the grid micro grids would mostly require just assembly on site, most of the work having been done back in the factories.
Behind Australia, Chile would seem the most likely place that these energy/desalination micro grids would be suited.
"MAK Water, together with South American partner, Carnegie Wave Energy Chile, will be showcasing our range of modular water and wastewater treatment plants, developed over many years of servicing the Mining and Resources sectors in Australia."
