I doubt if it would be a takeover, however, i think a merger is more likely to occur. The Simonds family have no intention at this stage to sell there stake in SIO. It is unusual that a competing firm is investing heavily, i would take it as a positive sign as the initial purchase price is in the 40c range which highlights that the company SP is atleast 50% off where it should be at this current price
