I don't think people truly understand the potential amounts in these so called super pit offtakes. They just look at the 50ktpa and compare it to our tiny 10ktpa offtakes and think biggest is best. Look at it in simple terms, a semi trailer holds about 25tonnes. To have an offtake of 50000 tonnes, that's 2000 semi trailers of graphite. If or when the battery storage and EV market goes big, then fair enough, yet no one, and I mean no one will require those sorts of amounts at present. Where are they going to keep stockpiles of that size, or more so, why are they going to stockpile when amounts of 10ktpa at this stage would be sufficient. To have stockpiles 5 times the 2000 semis is a dream.
