I have not seen any analysis of the fact that this a suspension from official quotation rather than a trading halt. Suspensions are normally for longer periods than halts.
The choice, by the company, of a suspension indicates that they have significant work to do before making an announcement. If this was a partner walking away (e.g. from the CHF trial) then wouldn't the company just announce it? Or perhaps the terms need to be negotiated, who knows?
Those who have done more research than I (my holding is quite modest) might have a view.
