Correct. Also why you see contestants on shows like 'The Chase ' and 'Millionaire Hotseat ' .....and who have a Phd in some obscure area of research, fall over consistently and sometimes on the dumbest of questions, that even a 7 year old would know, when turning up on these shows.
The thing about Universities, is that they train people to specialise within a narrow field. Then, if they get say, 1st class honours, the person will be encouraged to specialise even more and even deeper, in a Phd.
Generally, Uni Degrees that actually lead to instant paid jobs (like nursing, social work etc.) tend to be studied by more worldly wise individuals, who just want to get a real paid job, in the real world.
All my personal opinion, of course (and speaking as a person with three Uni Degrees). DYOR.
