Ann: LIT plans initial work at Ravensthorpe Project-LIT.AX, page-19

Pretty excited when the ann came out last week but disappointed when I read the headline and I guess the rest of the market was too. Didn't think much more about it until I got home from work and read the whole thing. It was the part about the bulk sampling (up to 5,000 tonnes) that got my attention.

For a company that is not shy with their announcements, they haven't really gone out of their way to highlight the work they are doing with ANSTO. The first mention of the Federal Grant was on March 15th and was a pretty dry, one page affair. The next on April 26th, LIT to present soon at Lithium battery conference. Again one page, no mention of ANSTO, just a link to the company website that in turn leads you to this. It's a copy of the presentation that Adrian Griffin is to give at the conference, ANSTO get a mention of page 4:

"Initial development and testing of the lixiviants so devised by the Company is occurring under the terms of an intellectual property agreement between ANSTO Minerals (a division of the Australia Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation) and Lithium Australia."

They get a bullet point on May 2nd in March quarterly activities & cash flow report. Unless I've missed some (very possible) May 5th LIT Cleantech & Technology Metals Summit Presentation (page 4) is the first ASX ann to mention pilot testing Sileach at ANSTO.

A while ago someone on here posted a link to an interview that Adrian Griffin did with Resources Roadhouse (April 28th) about the company's aim to build a demonstration plant at Port Hedland. If you haven't seen this article before and are a shareholder in LIT, I think you need to read it. I won't spoil it for you but it just might tie back into the (up to) 5000 tonnes to come out of Ravensthorpe.
