“what other news can drive this up..??”
Well, for starters…………..
1. New agreements for access from (initially) other equatorial telcos, Here are the telcos in South America. Add to this list all the others within the global equatorial band 15⁰ each side of the equator.

2. Maybe a phone manufacturer wanting to provide the ‘total’ package of handsets, voice, data & messaging
Could be maker like Samsung or a ‘home-brand’ Indian or Chinese phone manufacturer. You know in India you can buy a ‘smart phone’ for less than $6 – just think of the marketing & promotional possibilities there alone!

3. Shipping (cruise & / or container freight) companies wanting access
For example, this is what “Harris CapRock “ provides for over 400 vessels at sea -4. Different governments wanting coverage for Military, Emergency Services special access for flood, fire, wind, high tide alerts etc.

To the contrary "elee", I believe there is going to be significant and frequent news flow featuring deals and agreements, MOU’s and the like. In a few months’ time we’ll be at a totally different price level.
