I have been resident in the NT for two years. I have also worked in the gas industry (downstream/electricity/pipelines). Labor are odds on I am afraid. The biggest employer in the NT is the government (cth + territory). I personally think there is something ironic going on. You would think Giles would be celebrated by the left leaning voter. After all it is pretty darn amazing that an indigenous dude is Chief Minister (aka Premier) but this rather historic achievement has been down-played basically by everyone in the country. There aren't really any actual reasons for the discontentment. Just the 'vibe'. I guess it is because employment is slowing down with INPEX and the property boom has finished. But most people are happy that property is now more affordable. So nothing really makes any rational sense to me. Anyway - the 'vibe' is that the LNP will lose and the polls and bookies back this up.
To be clear - this is my opinion on Territory only issues. On federal issues I am pretty much dead middle. I haven't decided yet.
