Yes indeed. Pollies only care about votes - in this case IMO fossil fuel industry jobs and where votes might be lost. What other explanation could there be for this resistance ?
But it's old world thinking. The inertia for change is gathering more speed, and new technology will provide more and more RE jobs/opportunities, and the votes must follow.
So I am not so much frustrated as interested in what motivates current thinking, and what technological breakthroughs will (inevitably) change attitudes. (Not being partisan here, either party has been a disappointment)
