Sellnow you clearly are not well informed. BHP annouced they are buying back 10% of their stock over the next year. That was announced last week.
I think that would make you the "amature punter", you're talking about the biggest mining stock on the index and you didn't even know they were buying back $3bn worth of shares. Hard to miss if you read the AFR.
