    On my ANZ Securities account, if you buy rights on market they also add the 0.5 cents to the purchase price. You will have to speak with your broker but my understanding is that, in my case at least, ANZ would take care of rights conversion for the rights purchased on market in that way. That is why they take the 0.5 cent per right at the time of purchase.
