The earlier section covers 'R&D initiative', and the later section 'Technology Absorption', which may include non R&D initiatives. So yes, the later section is probably not as detailed as the earlier section. In the earlier section, NLC mentions Coldry in the context of ‘using lignite instead of coking coal for use in iron ore purification process’ but no mention of Coldry as a standalone lignite operation. But what they say later about 'using lignite instead of coking coal' only reinforces the earlier mention, and the MATMOR emphasis backs it up. In fact, there’s no explicit mention of Coldry at all in the later section. So this just supports my theory that NLC will more than likely use Kobe’s tech for upgrading their lignite for USC plants and Coldry for a met replacement. It implies they won't be using Coldry to provide fuel for their SC plants. There's just no mention of Coldry supplying BCE for SC boilers. But if ECT can get this pilot plant to commercial scale, it will be huge. 500,000 tonnes pa of steel is a great start.
