I see it the same way. Its the reason Tony Abbott and John Howard set about
bringing on the demise of Pauline Hanson and One Nation.
What is likely to happen is that even if the disgruntled conservatives vote ALA and preference the libs ahead of Labor, in most seats their preferences are not even likely to be distributed because their vote is too low. Once a candidate for Labor or Liberal etc get to the magic 50%+ mark the remaining preferences don’t count. So those primary votes that would otherwise go to the libs and definitely count are actually effectively lost.
The ALA and other micro conservatives such as One Nation etc in effect will help Labor’s prospects at the election.
