today's announcement states: "The pond system is estimated to cover a start-up area of 34km² upon commencement of the Mackay Project, and anticipated to expand to 59km² over a 20 year life."
The start-up area of 34km² is similar to RWD's anticipated size (shown in diagrams below from RWD's scoping study).
My guess is the AMN capex will be around AUD$270M (vs RWD AUD$320m), per reasons in the opening post.
Roads & port: AMN $20M vs RWD $56M
Ponds: the same at $100M
Processing plant: AMN $80M for 300ktpa vs RWD $93M for 400ktpa
Other infrastructure & equipment: the same at $70M
