Hmmm, just noticed somwthing interesting. Yesterday's total daily volume of trades was the second highest since the '03 bull run started; biggest by quite a fair margin - 1.15 billion.
OK, here goes nuthin:
momentum = mass X velocity
market momentum = volume (mass) X directional movement (velocity).
Volume has been pretty high of late, but directional movement has slowed, so momentum is about stable. Needs one or the other to break trend, and we will then see our next phase of the market, whatever that may be.
