re: re:mistake Interesting post earlier in this thread, "commodities only slightly up"... Copper spot prices are up 15c over their intraday low just 24 hours ago. That's nearly 5%. Last time BHP bounced off a low it also went up 5% in a single trading session. No one in their right mind would be entering a short position so close to a previous major low... now is the time to close short positions, not open them. If it closes below 24.40 then you can pile right in again, and I wouldn't blame you.
You don't short if a stock looks like it's going to bounce off primary support. It's only if support does not hold that you should go short, and even then with a tight stop. BHP has given a good short trade the last two weeks but ONLY after it broke support at 26.85. There is one here who claims he can predict when support will fail. He hasn't gone to any school of charting that I have heard of.
