Winning an award is known as the “ultimate convincer” which is useful if promoting your product or seeking investment funding. It is akin to reaching for a $20 bottle of wine in a bottle shop. If the choice is between a known brand and an unknown brand with awards stickers all over the neck for the same price, for some the Awards stickers clinch the deal. The buyer knows that the unknown brand has been judged by competent peers as being excellent, and therefore will be more willing to give the unknown brand a try.
