Sometimes I wonder if regulators such as SEC in US, ASIC in OZ are there to provide "policing" of individuals/companies to stay within the law or to prevent scandals. B Maddoff is a very conspicuous case precedence that only 1 man was ever charged and convicted after strong evidence from a decade ago. We have ours in CBA Fin Planning and Comminsure scandals and now the over night bank rates rigging but at least in Oz bureaucracy = time.

"Bespoke tranche opportunity" supposed to be the marriage of the cdo/cdw.
