'If BRN can strike a deal or two he should get his money back.'
I hope so for his sake.
But in my opinion, those deals will have to be credible for the market to take any notice. And I think BRN's credibility may be under the microscope now given the recent messy CR and SP decline after the company's so-called milestone achievements. For a company that struggled to raise $4m to be talking now, and understandably outside of formal ASX channels, about $20m contracts within 18 months and NASDAQ IPO listings is, imo, not helping that company's credibility rating one bit. They do have a variation of a neuromorphic architecture that may, and I stress may, have a place in the AI market. I'll grant them that much. But imho, and as the company clearly stated in their Prospectus, this is a very high-risk play in a very competitive market. So if you have zero or a very limited understanding of that market and simply base your investment decisions entirely on the company's marketing soundbites, then imo you're gambling.
I agree with the second part of your post. The TU brigade for obvious reasons doesn’t.
The above is all in my opinion.
