I think one of the main issue arising from this particular incident is that the justice system is fatally flawed when so few dollars are involved.
Why a judge and jury and the associated expense to go with it? No wonder the lawyers are cleaning up these days and wht the state coffers are bleeding. I have long argued for alternative to the court system as it is too biased.
I believe there should be a publicly appointed (impartial)persons to oversee the necessity and priority of such cases and indeed rule independantly. His role would be strictly 24 months only.
