Yep, the consumer law is/was quite clear, but is becoming blurred with the AI. There was a long discussion on HC a few months ago regarding self driving cars, which I think applies to the ROAM-e in FR mode. If there is an accident, nothing defective about the selfie, nothing tampered with, who is to blame? If it does have collision avoidance, but hits something, what does the warranty cover?
