Under the Passenger Transport Act 1990
Clause 89
- The operator of a bus service must take reasonable steps to ensure that every passenger on a bus operated by the operator is made aware that the passenger is required to wear a seatbelt (if fitted) in the bus unless the passenger is exempt from that requirement under rule 267 of the Australian Road Rules.
