Yep I moved to Canberra about 8.5 years ago now to go to ANU. Been here ever since. Bought a property about 18 months ago, I would say I am pretty locked in. It has grown on me a lot over time.
I work in the city and sometimes go for runs around the lake at lunch time, definitely can't argue with that.
Maybe a celebratory beer or two will be owed for BDR by the time you move here
