The Medicare payment system is 30 years old ,it needs a new system because today the amount of payments has gone through the roof and the system is not coping.
The last time I went to the doctors I payed $66 dollars that came out of my account and then I put the card back in and the refund about $30 was payed back into my account ,it needs to be fixed.
To get unionized staff to work efficiently is hard they are a bunch of Luddites and the unions are usually against anything the Liberals want to change and they screw Labor governments when they want to change things,the unions just want more members its never about efficiency or being customer friendly or customer focused its all about union power.
