My personal view is to wait to see what the new Mercedes SUV looks like and how it performs. The claim of 500km between recharges, sounds like lots of battery storage and a lot more panels for my roof.
Decisions, as per usual we should all do our full research on these things and make sure we buy one that will still be around in 10 years time (or less) for when we want a new battery replacement.
It will be no good buying one from a company that might not exist in 10 years time as even the resale value would collapse.
Hence I'll wait for the Mercs or maybe Nissans or Toyotas, but we have a farm so that will be different to those in the city.
There is one thing most people will need, and have probably not thought of yet. That being a house with a large roof area facing North East and West without shade from those directions so they can fill the car up and power the house. Solar panels are cheap, so fill the roof to refill the car and run the house.
