I don't think Dom walked away. Was basically removed by prime media when he lost his voting stake (power) due to all his equity going down the drain with Opes Prime.
He left with an even bigger empty bag. If the GFC didn't happen and Dom remained CEO, then who knows...
The destra situation and this one are an entirely different situation IMO. We have had this conversation before..... Lol.
One could argue that the current move in play is to de-risk the potential possibility of a similar situation. (Switching financiers from a small European bank, to a much larger American fund...) plus flexibility.
I 100% get what you are saying with the boards and voting though. But I think Marv was trying to say that Dom wasn't destra, their were many players.
Possibly my fault for requesting Marvs input...
