We will have to disagree. Labor did not have a policy that would allow Australia to be flooded with boat asylum seekers. Their policy was clear. No-one arriving by boat would be processed in Australia or be given residency here. To claim otherwise was a great big lie.

In terms of privatising medicare there was a review proposed and a plan to privatise the payments system. The scare campaign has resulted in the govt being so scared that it now won’t even do that and has committed any new system will be operated and controlled within govt.

Labor imo has always believed that the coalition would like to create a user pay system rather than have a universal health system and they are entitled to express a political opinion that is what they believe could happen. Its no different to the coalition claiming Labor will open the floodgates to refugees. Its not Labor’s policy, but by your standards that is a massive lie because it is not Labor policy. Further, to express such a lie publicly could induce people smugglers to believe the coalition and encourage more people smuggling if Labor won based on the coalition lie. Two way street on perceived lies Cerhob. Its in the eye of the beholder.
