Pauline talks like the average person and wont talk riddles like most pollies and this is refreshing, imagine a Parliament that actually worked together for the greater good of the country rather than taking cheap pot shots at each other.

I think another reason the independents got so many votes is the public is fed up with big multi-nationals not paying their fair share of the tax burden. Both the big parties don't care about this and have let it fester here for decades. This has been accentuated with the senate enquiry that the big end of town treated with contempt and the Panama papers coming out.
