I think Senator Ryan is wrong.

I think not only medicare should be dragged into the new century - but, I think it should be politically sold to do it.

Tell the people - don't make it a secret - that only allows worms in the oppositon wriggle room.


A blind man on a galloping horse can see that medicare is a good thing - but, also that privatizing eg. the payments system is also a good thing - and actually preserves and protects medicare.

If this were explained (sold) properly - it would be a plus - rather than a tool used against one.


Look at Hanson Technologies ---------- HSN - on the ASX.

Hanson do billing ----------- and, they do it very very well.


They bill for power companies - and phone etc. - that sort of billing ---------------- but, they aren't in the power business.

The power and phone businesses haven't 'sold' to HSN -------------- they just pay HSN to do the billing - and HSN do a far better job at it than the businesses themselves could ever do.


Medicare is no different at all.

Get rid of the dinosaurian payments system and let em get on with what they do -------------- providing medicare.


The huge mistake is - keep it quiet and give someone like a lying opposition leader a LOT of rope to hang someone with.

It's almost always a mistake to keep secrets - it lets people make up their own stories - and, unfortunately - people make up stories to suit their agenda - as, happened in this case IMO.
