I think you are cherry picking I have not been able to (too much bother) to see the original poll (ORF) but I did read that it was from 1000 people but how they were chosen I don't know

They had a problem in Austria with their law in that the union was called a Registered Partnership Bill which was badly composed as it did not allow for that couple to adopt a child.

The poll was in response to a gay couple being refused to adopt, so naturally people said the should be able to adopt

The Eurobarometer poll was due to a same sex couple where one died and the remaining one wanted the tenancy of their home but under the law the "life companion" (Lebensgefährte) was only applicable to persons of the opposite sex.
So once again it was not Marriage that was under the microscope but the poor framing of the Registered partner law to allow for the transfer of a tenancy

In Australia as far as I can find out NONE of these matters apply, and what the discussion in Australia is all about is nothing to do with legal rights but all about changing the legal definition of the word marriage.

This is for one reason only, homosexuals want to steal the respect that normal married couples have had for hundreds of years they suffer from a lack of conviction as to their way of life
