"Does the inclusion of Matmor as a requirement mean Coldry was not viable on it's own?"

Our initial deal was with NLC, alone. NMDC (who have no connection to NLC, except via the government and president of India) decided they were interested in Matmor. Thus causing a delay in the whole process, but resulting in the TPA.

Coldry is 100% viable, but to what scale? We should soon know.

As reported by The Hindu newspaper back in January (following the signing of the binding TP agreement ...

"The project also aims at upgrading some of the Neyveli mine’s 25 million tonne per annum output of low rank coal to support a 2.8GW power station."
