for some time i was aware that mos, had not/ were not, going to update their forecast re end 06 results. they were not so bad that they had to inform the asx. i did not think they would quite make their forecasts but as with miners etc it is not easy to know just what odd expenditures are going on unless we’re told.
ok, so the figures are explainable and not a disaster. not at all.
however, don seems to have walked at the very first opportunity and that's immediately after the results were published. don and others must have known earlier what was about, had mos shouted sooner then the share price would have been 'hit and hurt' once more. at least don has done the right thing and gone now, after the results. the report was to me a very honest report. no hidden nasties that i could see.
telling us don has walked now, will not hurt as much. had he done so some weeks ago then yes, it would have caused ripples. big ripples. it still hurts tho.
how much will don’s leaving cost mos ?
will the new mos board really pull themselves up ...... and go - get ?
mos will become a lot more riskier. ok for the speccy punters but not for the more conservatives like me.
i’m more than happy with the rest of the board.
NOTE the drilling director sr dingle walked out back 14th aug.
we lost founding director ceo howard brady some yrs ago.
has mos finally made it into a clean aggressive board ? if so, is this good.
Whateve,r mos has some nice territory and some nice assets. it’s not overvalued at all imo.
on balance, i’ll probably lighten my holding. i’ll decide over the next days /weeks. more drilling is on the way. that should help.
in fact, this could well be the turning point for mos. indeed it could. let’s hope it’s a good turning point.
maybe don wanted to go. was this the catalyst / excuse ?
