I would say your driver probably wanted the car, and to justify his purchase decided to do Uber to supplement the payments. Also if someone has a decent car that suits the Uber prerequisite they probably don't want 1000's of additional km's on it as you can easily lose on resell a few $1000's just on high km's.

My thoughts are the majority of Uber drivers can't just go out and buy a new car. This deal will provide tremendous opportunity to DMC and a competitive option for Uber drivers.
