Ted's heart was/is exploration. and having Hardman being pushed about by Woodside regarding where to drill told him and others that it was time to leave.
Remember Woodie's Geo's, at the time. All they wanted to was drill the Cretaceous, and drill it again, and again.
So Simon was bought in to get the SP up to $5.00 and then flog the company.
He started boosting the SP with his famous "TIOF's a goer" only to be slapped down by big Don Voelte.
Then there were polital probs in Mauritania that woke the market to the risk involved in West Africa.
And then there was this string of boring exploration results from Mauritania. P & A +++
Followed by Ching's problems and the impact this might have on Tiof approval.
So getting $2.02 from a market price of $1.17 is bloody amazing really.
And $2.35 x 60,000,000 shares wasn't a bad effort either.
If you still believe in the story then do the HDR into TLW conversion.
I will try to.
