Malcolm Turnbull- Liberal hero

In political terms Malcolm Turnbull can rightly be seen
as a Liberal hero given he has potentially given the coalition another three years of govt when the alternative would have been a 53/47 percent thrashing under Tony Abbott.

Sure, mistakes were made in the campaign not helped by the bleating’s, undermining and vitriol from conservative elements.

The Senate with so many cross benchers will continue to present challenges but good legislation will always pass as Labor will support the govt when it’s in the public interest.

Bill Shorten has done a creditable job in Opposition and he will be further helped by the conservatives if they continue their sniping, leaking and undermining of Malcolm and his leadership team. It’s a big test for Malcolm but if he can be the progressive small ‘l’ Liberal that saw a surge in his popularity he will continue to have the support of the Australian people and prevail. However, if he opts to instead pander to the conservative right that popularity could disappear in a flash. We want to see jobs and growth actually happen and a fair go for all. Heres hoping he and his team will deliver.
