i guess your sarcasm there is reasonable in the circumstances.....things dont look good.
BUT....... I saw some figures years back of the assaults, shootings, robberies, etc, that were PREVENTED by armed citizens.
I cant remember which, but one state/county/whatever had a voluntary reporting system by means of a form to be filled out in the event of having to draw a weapon to defend themselves or others. Was a large figure. And the comment was made that many times more would not bother report the incidents.
