"Roughly one-third of cows in modern herds, including some Friesians and some Jerseys, have no A2 whatever."
The key word here is "modern".
If, as you say, the health issues with milk are derived from BCM7 peptide, and not homogenization, then I'm happy to accept that fact. However, I was only throwing the homigenization argument up as an alternative reason for health issues and not a reason per say, as to why the A1 protein is bad. Apologies, I should have explained myself better.
However, having said all that, I still stand by my basic view that providing a milk product with just A2 and not A1 protein is not some new found wonder solution. Excellent marketing and good management has ensured that this previously well known fact has delivered a spectacular return for shareholders, and not some new discovery. Furthermore, suggesting it is organic (or close to) when it is not should not, is fundamentally incorrect and misrepresentative, which is why I also still stand by my view that A2M shareholders and consumers need to be aware of the difference. To be certified organic is a lengthy and initially costly business, which is why organic products command a premium and why Danone paid what it did for Whitewave.
There is an awful lot of science (probably more so than the work done on A1 protein) that the chemicals and medicines used in the farming industry are far more harmful to humans than the A1 protein. The sooner organic becomes the norm, the healthier we, as human beings, will become.
