There are good arguments in favour of organics (and I choose to buy organics in some cases myself). There are also some interesting issues in relation to possible health downsides from milk homogenisation. I have even seen it suggested that homogenisation possibly increases the risks attributed to A1, although this is speculative and needs more research. No one, though, is suggesting that homogenisation is the cause of the medical risks posed by A1 and its by-product BCM7..

But again you are quite incorrect in arguing that "a milk product with just A2 and not A1 protein is not some new found wonder solution", or that "this previously well known fact" is merely the product of recent smart marketing. The history of A2 milk is well documented and although A2 cows have existed for thousands of year it was only very recently that anyone knew there was a difference between A2 and A1. It was also only in the late 1990s that anyone realised A1 milk might carry medical risks, and figured it would be a good idea to make pure A2 milk available.

This discovery was made by scientists, not marketing gurus, and they developed a technique for separating the cows that produced pure A2 milk. I'd say all this was pretty new, not historical. Less than two decades ago in fact. And it's been an uphill marketing struggle since, against the doubters and skeptics. But if A2M's success had been due just to smart marketing, the question you have to ask yourself is why aren't the idairy industry's big teams of scientific experts disputing the claims made by A2M? The answer is simple. They'd love to, but they can't.
